This world has been warned before of catastrophes that have never matured and in the depths of the recessions of the early seventies I remember hearing the same drumroll. Again in the '80's. In the early 1990's recession I remember the Kiplinger Report forcasting better times ahead but those times came much later than we ever thought but the markets did survive and thrived afterwards. I think that this downturn is going to be cured.

There's a lot of cash out there. People are scared to invest. Every time the stock market dives in a bear market investors take measures to safeguard their assets. I wouldn't blame them especially after losing value in real estate as well as stock value. These times also breed pessimism and there are those who perpetuate that negativity towards investing. However it is that exact down time where value and prices are low that smart people must invest because, simply, why would one profit more in an optimistic market when prices are moving upward. One should already be positioned for growth. The wise investor should already have purchased and that is the time to save for a rainy day.
