A few months ago, I wrote an issue of Cabot Wealth Advisory about the business of Green. I’m really interested in environmental issues and always on the lookout for when Green topics overlap with investing. I stumbled across an interesting article in The New York Times special Education Life section that talked about Greening college campuses and how this is affecting where students decide to go.
One person interviewed in the story even said she hadn’t seen this much of a push for change on college campuses since Apartheid. The students are taking shorter showers and engaging each other to cut down on the resources that are used on campus. All of this adds up to a greater awareness of Green issues.
Green has definitely become a buzzword, but the issues surrounding it affect many decisions we make in our daily lives–from driving less to buying organic food. This sector is also providing great investment opportunities and is poised to provide more as momentum builds around it.
Nice writing. You are on my RSS reader now so I can read more from you down the road.
